ADAMSON University continued its surge after an opening-day loss while Southwestern U absorbed its third straight defeat after a winning debut.

The Lady Falcons came up with a quick demolition of the Cebu collegiate champion Lady Cobras, 25-12, 25-14, 25-16, on Thursday at the Arena in San Juan for its second straight win in the Shakey's V-League Season 11 First Conference.

Bhebs Pineda made 10 points, while all 10 other Lady Falcons that were fielded managed to score in the 67-minute match.

Thai guest player Pacharee Sangmuang made nine, while Jessica Galanza and skipper Marleen Cortel chipped in eight markers each for the Lady Falcons.

After losing its conference opener to the Ateneo Lady Eagles, the San Marcelino-based Lady Falcons have improved their win-loss card to 2-1.

“Maayos na ang laro namin kasi araw-araw na kami nakaka-ensayo,” said Adamson coach Sherwin Meneses, adding that all players are now able to join training since the semester is now over although Pau Soriano and Mayeth Zapanta missed the match due to a school activity.

The Lady Falcons had the game in full control as they scored more blocks (6-3) and had four service aces against none by the Lady Cobras.

“Mabilis 'yung laro kasi hindi in-underestimate ng mga bata 'yung kalaban, kasi kung in-underestimate nila ang kalaban papangit pa ang laro," he added. "Basta ang sabi ko sa kanila kahit sinong kalaban every point paglabanan natin."

Marlyn Llagoso and Shiela Mae Bongo made six and five points, respectively, for SWU, which opened with a win over St. Louis University but now holds a 1-3 card in Group A.
