The Soaring Falcons beat the San Beda University Red Spikers, 25-23, 25-21, 29-27, to take the early solo lead.
Geoffrey Alicando led the way for Adamson with 14 points, skipper Paolo Pablico delivered 12 hits, while setter Franz Amburgo made 30 excellent sets.
Pat Palattao had 17 hits for San Beda, winless in two matches.
The Altas scored their first win in three matches, beating the Eastern University Tamaraws, 19-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-18, 15-13.
After losing to NU and UST, NCAA champion Perpetual came up with a big win with last season's NCAA Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year Joebert Almodiel leading the way.
Almodiel had 20 points, while Ron Rosales scored 15 on 12 kills and three blocks.
Perpetual Help will face unbeaten Adamson next week.
John Paul Bugaon scored 20 and Redijohn Paler added 14 for FEU, yet to win after two outings. The Tamaraws face the La Salle Green Spikers in a battle of winless teams next week.
