ADAMSON made quick work of University of Santo Tomas, 25-19, 25-6, 25-17, to rule the PVL Collegiate Conference on Saturday at the Arena in San Juan.

The rookie-laden Lady Falcons completed a sweep of the best-of-three finals series against the Tigresses led by sisters EJ and Eya Laure.

It is a big boost for an Adamson squad after placing last in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball tournament.

The Lady Falcons came up with a strong finish after a five-set win in the series opener, scoring a quick win to seal the title.

Best middle blocker Lorene Toring led the Lady Falcons in Game Two with 15 points, providing six of the team’s 12 kill blocks.

Conference MVP Trisha Genesis delivered 14 points off 10 attacks and four service aces.

Rookie Louie Romero was hailed as Finals MVP as she dished out 24 excellent sets and finished with seven points, highlighted by four of the team’s 14 aces.

Eya Laure scored 11 points for UST, which settled for another runner-up finish after finishing second to Ateneo in UAAP Season 81.

“Inexpect namin talaga na UST will bounce back so kumbaga nagprepare din talaga kami sa kanila yung sa defense and even sa offense,” said Adamson coach Lerma Giron.
