ABY Marano is a natural prankster.
The volleyball star not only pulls off prank on teammates during Halloween but almost on a weekly basis, more so during her playing years with De La Salle.
Marano recalled always playing tricks on her teammates especially those coming back to the Lady Spikers' quarters from their weekend breaks.
“Mahilig ako sa ganoon. Pag Sunday, ako lang mag-isa doon sa dorm kasi hindi na ako umuuwi sa amin. Aabangan ko na ang teammates ko sa hagdanan manggugulat lang ako," she recalled with a laugh to Spin.ph on the eve of Halloween.
“Always ko silang ginugulat. Natatawa ako pag nakikita ko 'yung reaction nila," she continued. "Sasabihin lang nila babawian nila ako, pero never sila nakaganti."
But those are in the past now.
Today with a corporate career to nurture, Marano is taking her act to a higher level.
The Meralco player revealed she’ll be attending the company’s Halloween party in her well-crafted, Annabelle-inspired costume (of 'Conjuring' fame). She likewise helped spruce up the office for the occasion.
“Meron kaming program sa Meralco, magsusuot ako ng pang-Annabelle kasi may trick or treat 'yung mga bata," she said.
"Kina-career ko talaga 'yung ganitong Halloween. Before nga ako pumunta sa game gumawa ako ng mga coffins," she added. "Ngayong Halloween ko rin magagawa 'yung talent ko sa arts."
By the way, Meralco’s campaign in the Shakey’s V-League Season 11 Foreign Reinforced Conference ended in horror as the team failed to post a win in all of its six games.
