THE Chery Tiggo Crossovers are switching gears again with a coaching reappointment ahead of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.
Champion tactician Aaron Velez will call the shots again in what will now be his second coaching stint with the rejigged club.
"The experienced coach is returning to take the wheel and lead the Chery Tiggo Crossovers back to the top this coming #PVL2023 All-Filipino conference on February 4," the team announced on its social media pages on Monday evening.
Velez was at the helm when Chery Tiggo won the 2021 Open Conference title in the Ilocos Norte bubble — the PVL's inaugural year as a professional sporting league.
Since being replaced by Clarence Esteban a year later, Velez has stayed with the Crossovers as its team manager.
A second shot at glory awaits the returning veteran mentor — sans the Santiago sisters but with a spiker in Ponggay Gaston to lead their title charge this year.
