PLDT bagged the 4-seed by making quick work of ZUS Coffee, 25-20, 25-16, 25-15, in the final day of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference preliminary round on Saturday in Passi, Iloilo.

The quick sweep down south was capped by a 7-2 match-clinching run off Majoy Baron’s quick attack to end prelims play on a high.
By doubling down on its five-set stunner over Creamline last week, the High Speed Hitters advance to the qualifying round with an 8-3 record and a four-game win streak.
The team they’ll play in the next phase? The Thunderbelles, again, as their seventh loss this conference (4-7) hands them the 9-seed.
Team captain Kath Arado cleared the floor for PLDT with 13 excellent digs.
High Speed Rematch
Just like last year's Reinforced Conference, the High Speed Hitters closed out prelims play as the fourth-seeded team.
This time, however, with a new and expanded playoffs format, the league's current leading scorer and spiker in Savi Davison hopes to take away PLDT's sense of comfort and complacency even if they were able to dispatch their eventual qualifying-round foe with ease.
"I think we're very happy with the outcome (of the preliminary round) but we always think we could've done better. Just realizing that, once we get in the playoffs, we really have to tune it up in the next round," said Davison.
"Just that complacency and being comfortable, we don't want to be comfortable because there are teams that can take over. We just can't get too comfortable."
