ACTION in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference heats up this week with six teams in contention for two outright semifinal berths.

Balipure seeks a share of the lead as it faces pacesetting Creamline, while PetroGazz looks to make it four straight wins as it battles PayMaya on Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Center.

Creamline holds a 4-1 win-loss card, while BaliPure and PayMaya share second place at 3-2.

Surging PetroGazz has caught up with Pocari-Air Force and Tacloban at fourth with 3-3 cards.

PetroGazz and Tacloban bolstered their bids, with the Angels sustaining their impressive fightback from 0-3 card with a 25-19, 20-25, 28-26, 25-21 victory over the defending champion Lady Warriors.

The Fighting Warays, on the other hand, defeated the Lady Oragons, 25-20, 25-22, 27-25.

The men’s semis race is also tight, with Cignal pacing the field with a 3-1 slate followed by newcomer Vice Co (2-1). Instituto Estetico Manila and PLDT are tied with 2-2 cards while Air Force and Army bring up the rear with 1-2 and 1-3 marks, respectively.
