STA. ROSA, Laguna — Jasmin Nabor feels some pressure and excitement as she gets the start with Jia Morado out of the Philippine women’s volleyball team match against Thailand on Saturday in the Asean Grand Prix Second Leg.

Morado was brilliant in Philippines’ three-set victory over Vietnam, finishing with 17 excellent sets, 10 digs and four points, but will miss the match vs Thailand as she plays for her club Creamline in a Premier Volleyball League match in Iloilo City.

Alyssa Valdez, also of Creamline, Army’s Jovelyn Gonzaga and Choco Mucho’s Maddie Madayag will also be out of the Philppines’ match as they play in the PVL.

“Excited na kinakabahan kasi syempre first time kong magiging first setter para irepresent yung bansa natin tapos syempre Thailand pa yun,” said Nabor, who will be the lone setter in the Philippine lineup for the match.

Nabor, who also plays for PLDT and was ealier tapped to take Alohi Robins-Hardy’s spot in the second leg, admitted that it’s not going to be easy filling in their big shoes with limited preparation.

Siguro parang in one snap, 'ay maglalaro ako,’” she said.
