PREMIER Volleyball League will have six teams for the Reinforced Conference opening on April 30 at The Arena in San Juan.

Pocari Sweat is defending its title while also back are Bali Pure and Air Force.

New clubs Creamline and Perlas Lady Spikers are seeing action, along with provincial team Iriga.

“It’s a wide open race, we’ll never know who’s gonna win the championship,” said PVL president Ricky Palou.

Myla Pablo and Elaine Kasilag are expected to lead the Lady Warriors as they try to retain the title without former team captain Michele Gumabao.

The Lady Warriors have tapped former Ateneo star Fille Cainglet-Cayetano and University of Sto. Tomas alumna Jessey de Leon.

Creamline will be led by former three-time UAAP MVP Alyssa Valdez with Ateneo coach Tai Bundit.

It will be a reunion for Valdez and Bundit, who gave Ateneo two titles in the UAAP in 2014 and 2015.

Meanwhile, the Beach Volleyball Republic squad of Charo Soriano, Bea Tan, Amy Ahomiro and Dzi Gervacio will banner the Perlas Lady Spikers under University of the Philippines coach Jerry Yee.

Bali Pure will be mentored by veteran coach Roger Gorayeb, who hopes to bring his players from National University and San Sebastian College.

Powerhouse Air Force will be headed by Judy Ann Caballejo, Wendy Semana and May Ann Pantino.
