    Former V-League champion imports team up to boost Power Smashers in PVL title bid

    Thai player Kannika Thipachot is back to play in the Philippines. 

    AMPORN Hyapha and Kannika Thipachot, who have led teams to championships in the V-League, are teaming up to help Power Smashers in its bid to take the Reinforced Conference title of the rebranded Premier Volleyball League.

    Hyapha, a middle blocker-outside hitter, helped Cagayan Valley claim the Reinforced Conference crown in 2014.

    Thipachot led Cagayan Valley to a 16-match sweep of the V-League Season 10 Open Conference in 2013.

    Air Force will have Thai import Patcharee Saengmuang, who was also a key member of the Lady Rising Suns champion squad three years ago.

    Thai reinforcement Kuttika Kaewpin and American hitter Laura Shchaudt will join Alyssa Valdez in Creamline, while Rupia Inck and Kaylee Manns will banner Perlas.

    Schaudt suited up for Cignal in last year’s Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix, Inck saw action with Petron, while Manns played for PLDT in the PSL Grand Prix in 2013.

    “I’ve seen the Filipinos style of volleyball so i know what to expect,” said Schaudt.

    “I’m very competitive, so I don't like losing so you can expect me to be very passionate in every single game and point and you guys can expect me to play my best,” said Inck.
