DEJA vu has struck University of Santo Tomas in the worst way possible.
An ankle sprain in Game 1 of the Shakey’s Super League Pre-Season Unity Cup finals has forced Golden Tigresses ace Angge Poyos to sit out the must-win Game 2 against National U on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

The 21-year-old Boholana outside hitter, however, was quick to ease any concerns of a serious injury, saying she was sidelined purely as a precaution.
The situation is eerily similar to what unfolded in the UAAP Season 86 finals two years ago, also against the Lady Bulldogs.
Poyos sprained her ankle in Game 1 of that title series as well, causing her to miss Game 2, a match UST ultimately ceded.
