MONGOLIA'S coach admitted the Philippines outplayed his squad in almost all departments in a 13-25, 23-25, 16-25 loss to the host country at the start of the Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship on Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Mongolians registered only 24 spikes compared to the Power Pinoys’ 38, had one less block and two less service aces than the Filipinos.

But what did the Mongolians in, according to their coach B. Uranchimeg, was the playmaking of the Philppines’ Australian setter William Lewis, who came up with 17 of the Power Pinoys’ 28 excellent sets.

"We had a disadvantage with our setter. The Philippine team setting is good," Uranchimeg said as interpreted by team captain Munkhbayar Ariunbayar. "Our setting is not good, we need to improve our setting."

"Philippine team is good in spike and game tactics are good," added the Mongolian coach, whose team faces Iraq on Wednesday hoping to even its record in Pool A.
