Power Pinays bow to Chinese Taipei for second loss in three outings

THE PLDT Home TVolution-Philippine Power Pinays dropped their second match, losing to Chinese Taipei, 25-15, 25-12, 25-11, in the Princess Cup Asia Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Thailand.

The Power Pinays earlier lost to seven-time defending champion China, 25-15, 25-15, 25-17, following their 25-17, 26-24, 25-16 victory over India in Group B.

The Power Pinays (1-2) face last year’s finalist Kazakhstan on Sunday as they vie for four of the quarterfinal slots in the six-team Group B.

The team is composed of imports Cuban Olympian Regla Bell and Japan’s Misao Tanyama, Rachelle Ann Daquis, Angeli Tabaquero, Jaja Santiago, Suzanne Roces, Honey Royce Tubino, Angelique Dionela, Mary Jean Balse, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Arriane Argarin, Lizlee Ann Pantone, Michelle Laborte, and Michelle Datuin.
