POLAND extended its win streak to three matches with a 25-23, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21 victory over Brazil on Friday in the Pasay leg of the 2023 Volleyball Nations League at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Wilfredo León dominated in his debut in this leg by churning out 22 points on 20 attacks, one block, and one ace.

“I'm happy that as a team we won. There were a few moments where we had some delicate problems but we came back,” said León.
“I don't know how to judge my performance but I knew from the beginning that it would be a very tough game. I played the best game possible and brought that to the court today.”

Unfazed despite dropping the second set, the Polish spikers quickly recovered and improved to an 8-2 record.
Bednorz Bartosz scored 11 and Kurek Bartosz added 10 for Poland.
On the other hand, Brazil dropped to 7-4 but will still have the opportunity to secure their place in the final eight when they meet China on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
Alan Souza led the Brazilians in scoring with 17 markers on 15 attacks and two blocks.
