Banko-Perlas, a team composed mostly of former players from Ateneo and University of the Philippines, battles Far Eastern University, a squad tipped to challenge for the crown in the upcoming UAAP volley season, at 6 p.m.
NCAA powerhouse San Sebastian headed by former PVL MVP Grethcel Soltones takes on Akari Adamson at 2 p.m.
Former UAAP title-holder Ateneo was supposed to see action against Banko-Perlas but backed out.
The PVL and Grid Athletic Sports, a group of Beach Volleyball Republic people headed by Charo Soriano, are co-organizing the event which has made stops in Batangas, Cagayan Valley, Iloilo and Bacolod.
