PLDT MyDSL remained unbeaten as it downed Petron, 25-15, 25-21, 14-25, 25-17, in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix on Wednesday at Ynares Sports Arena.
American reinforcement Savannah Noyes came away with 17 points, while Sue Roces and Maru Banaticla chipped in 15 and 10, respectively, for the Lady Speed Boosters, who hold the top spot with a 3-0 record.
“Ok lang, three-zero, four-zero, o five zero pa 'yan ang target namin is No. 1 or No. 2," said PLDT MyDSL coach Roger Gorayeb.
From its fifth place finish last conference, Gorayeb is hoping to steer the team to the top spot this time.
"Last conference kasi nag fifth sila gusto ko naman i-angat," he said.
After a sluggish third set, PLDT MyDSL regained control in the fourth and pulled away from a tied 11-all contest as it poured in four consecutive points to make it 15-11.
Petron inched closer, 16-19, but the Lady Speed Boosters came up with a 6-1 run to end the match.
Shinako Tanaka made 16 points for the Blaze Spikers, winless in four outings.
