PLDT became the first Philippine team to secure a spot in the 2025 AVC Women's Champions League quarterfinals.
This comes after Australia's Queensland Pirates suffered a second straight loss to Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima on Monday.

The Australian champions ended pool play without a win at 0-2 after losing to PLDT in straight sets, 19-25, 12-25, 12-25, on opening day.
The High Speed Hitters have one last assignment in pool play ahead of the knockout stage against the mighty six-time Thai champions.

A PLDT win over Nakhon hands them the No. 1 seed in Pool D, which could seu up a possible quarterfinal against Creamline if it finishes second in Pool A.
But if the Cool Smashers win tonight against Kazakhstan's Zhetysu, they will clinch the top seed in Pool A and can only set up a playoff duel with PLDT if the latter drops to the No. 2 seed.
The PLDT-Nakhon match is slated on Tuesday, 4 p.m. at the Philsports Arena.
