THE Philippines ended its campaign in Leg 1 of the Southeast Asia V. League without a win after losing to Indonesia, 20-25, 17-25, 21-25, at the Vinh Phuc Gymnasium in Vietnam on Sunday (local time).

The young team of collegiate standouts put up a gallant fight against the region's best including Asia’s third-ranked side Thailand and reigning SEA V.League runner-up Vietnam, but came up short each time.
It was no different against Indonesia in a match where third place in the leg was at stake.

The National University trio of Bella Belen, Alyssa Solomon, and sophomore Vange Alinsug once again led the way against the Indonesians and emerged as the team's top three scorers for the leg.
Also leaving strong impressions in their debut for the national team were the likes of UAAP standouts Camilla Lamina, AC Miner, and Roma Doromal.
In less than a week’s time, the youth-laden Philippine team will be at it again in Leg 2 of the SEA V. League from August 11 to 13 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
