    Army begins bid for golden treble in Super Liga as it takes on PLDT

    ACTION in the Philippine Super Liga goes into high gear as Generika-Army begins its bid for a third straight title when it takes on PLDT Home TVolution on Wednesday in the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference at Cuneta Astrodome.

    The Lady Troopers, winners of the two conferences last season, start their new campaign at 2 p.m.

    After helping FEU win the Shakey's V-League Season 11 First Conference, Rachel Anne Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga rejoin the Army squad featuring Mary Jean Balse, Tina Salak, Nene Bautista and Dahlia Cruz.

    PLDT will be going for a second straight win after dropping its opening match.

    The Power Attackers led by Sue Roces, Sasa Devanadera, Maru Banaticla bowed to Petron but bounced back and evened their record with victory over Cagayan Valley.

    V-League MVP Dindin Santiago also looks to bounce back after National University was swept by FEU in the Open Conference Finals as she rejoins Petron in the Super Liga.

    The Blaze Spikers eye their second win in as many matches as they take on Cagayan Valley, which is aching to score a victory after two losses.

    Petron and Cagayan Valley clash at 4 p.m.

    A win will put earn the Blaze Spikers a share of the lead with newcomer AirAsia.

    In men's play, last conference’s champion PLDT Home TVolution clashes with Systema Active in a rematch of the PSL Grand Prix finals at 6 p.m.
