PETRO Gazz will see action in the 2019 Taichung Bank International Women’s Invitational Volleyball Tournament from Sept. 15 to 19 in Taipei City.

Champions in the PVL Reinforced Conference, the Angels battle club teams from China, Japan and Thailand.

They won’t have their star imports, however, with Wilma Salas playing in a league in Poland and Janisa Johnson seeing action in France.

Laniog is going to lean on their All-Filipino line-up bannered by skipper Chie Saet, Paneng Mercado, Jeanette Panaga, Cherry Nunag, Jovie Prado, Djanel Cheng, Jonah Sabete, Jessey de Leon, Kai Baloaloa, Alyssa Layug, Cienne Cruz and Rica Enclona.

“Yung tournament sa Taipei is a big opportunity for our team. Mataas talaga yung level ng competition,” said Petro Gazz Arnold Laniog on Tuesday.

“Kaya naman tayo pupunta roon is para may ma-gain yung team na experience. Sa ganitong level makakatulong sa campaign naming dito sa ongoing PVL Open Conference at iba pa,” Laniog added.

“We will try our best every game. Kung palaring manalo, better. Kung hindi naman, at least makita natin na maibigay yung best natin at bigyan natin ng magandang lang yung mga opponent,” said Laniog, who will be joined by coaching staff Rald Ricafort, Jay Chua and Obet Javier with team manager Camille Cruz.

The Angels will miss more than a week in the Open Conference, where they hold a 5-2 win-loss record at second place.

Petro Gazz will return to PVL action on September 22 against Air Force.
