COACH Jerry Yee remains confident Petro Gazz can soon stop the bleeding and he is hoping Kadi Kullerkann would be able to return to action soon and provide a boost for the Angels in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.
The Estonian import hurt her knee in practice and missed the match against Tacloban. The Angels wound up suffering their second loss in as many matches after bowing to Creamline in the opener.
“Bugbog ang tuhod so may pamamaga so hindi na lang namin ni-risk. Five-day rest ang recommendation ng doctor, five-day rest, therapy so sana umabot ng Wednesday game,” he said.
Yee admits they have much work ahead for them, but he expects results as Petro Gazz next takes on BaliPure.
“Wala pa, hindi pa jelled ang team pero we liked what we saw although talo pa rin, malas malas pero what we saw mas narelax kami, kaming staff confident kami na merong positive na susunod after that game,” said Yee.
The Water Defenders feature several senior high school players from four-time UAAP juniors champion Nazareth School of NU, but showed grit in the loss to Iriga, and Yee has warned he Angels not not take them lightly.
“BaliPure so build tayo sana nga bata lang ‘yun pag nagkaharap kami kasi biglang nag-iimprove ‘yun eh may mga piyesa siya eh bata siya pero matatangkad ‘yun eh at saka experienced ‘yun makipaglaro sa mga collegiate teams eh,” he said.
