Rey Taneo and the Altas book another appearance in the title series.

DEFENDING champion University of Perpetual Help survived a huge scare, beating third seed San Beda College, 18-25, 18-25, 25-20, 25-17, 15-11, on Tuesday to reach the finals of the NCAA SeaSon 92 volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

Rey Taneo Jr. led the way for the Altas, finishing with 29 points after being moved to outside hitter position when the Lions took a two-set lead.

Skipper Manuel Doliente had 12 points and Esmail Kasim added 10 as Perpetual recovered using the patterns they have never done in practice.

"Pero during our practice di namin nae-ensayo yan. It’s just a matter of experiment and in case na mag-go siya itinuluy-tuloy ko na lang," revealed Acaylar.

Adrian Viray scored 21 points and Mark Enciso added 14 for San Beda.
