PCSO Bingo Milyonaryo tries to grab its second win in the Philippine Super Liga as it collides with Petron on Sunday at the PhilSports Arena.
After two straight losses, the Puffins scored their first victory in the league with a four-set win over Cignal on Friday and will look to level their record when they clash with the Blaze Spikers.
The Puffins are hoping to show improved floor defense and service to secure a win.
"We should better our defense and attacks," said PCSO Bingo Milyonaryo coach Ronald Dulay. "'Yun lang ang game plan namin for Petron."
Former La Salle standouts Maureeen Penetrente, Stephanie Mercado and Michelle Gumabao are expected to take charge both on offense and defense in the 2 p.m. match.
Penetrante and Mercado led the offense with 10 spikes each, while Gumabao scored on three blocks in the Puffins’ 16-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-21 victory.
"Ok na kami sa attacks at sa blocks," said Dulay. "Kailangan more aggressive pa kami at saka kailangan namin 'yung service ayusin namin."
Petron is coming off back-to-back losses, including a 18-25, 15-25, 19-25 defeat recently to the Philippine Army.
Angge Tabaquero led the Blaze Spikers with 12 points in their previous match but will look to come up with a better offensive game together with Rhea Dimaculangan, Aiza Maizo, Judy Ann Caballejo, Maika Ortiz, Gretchen Ho and Fille Cainglet.
PCSO Bingo Milyonaryo and Petron tied at third spot with a 1-2 win-loss card.
Meanwhile, league-leading Cagayan Valley and No. 2 Philippine Army try to create more distance from their pursuers as they take on separate opponents.
Bhebs Pineda, Joy Benito and Sandra delos Santos are again expected to lead the Lady Rising Suns as they gun for their fourth consecutive win when they face Cignal (1-2) at 4 p.m.
The Lady Troopers, who hold a 2-1 card, clash with PLDT MyDSL (1-2).
