PAM Lastimosa came up with perhaps her best performance in her return to the UAAP women’s volleyball in Season 79, but the former UST Tigresses skipper is far from satisfied.
Back after a season out due to a knee injury, Lastimosa has been a silent contributor behind the more explosive spiker EJ Laure and the energetic Cherry Rondina.
On Saturday, she came up with a fine performance to match the team high with 10 points, but said she knows she still has a lot to work on this season.

“Medyo pigil pa. Siguro kulang pa talaga. Kahit ako sa sarili ko, kulang pa talaga,” said Lastimosa, who matched Christine Francisco’s output in the straight-set win.
Although not a consistent high scorer, Lastimosa has provided a veteran presence to a team that assigned a young skipper in Rondina and the Tigresses have won four straight to gain a share of third spot.
“Siguro more of mental pa. Mentally prepared dapat at huwag matakot. ‘Yun ang sinasabi ng mga coaches na ‘wag matakot magkamali,” said Lastimosa.
