OWA Retamar won’t be missing much action even after Cignal’s shock leave of absence from the Spikers’ Turf.

The Alas Pilipinas Men setter has been tapped to reinforce Cambodian side Visakha for the upcoming 4th Sar Kheng Cup, set from February 7 to March 1.

Retamar will suit up under the Cambodia Volleyball Federation banner in the near month-long competition, which also doubles as the country’s national volleyball championship.

The domestic tournament allows teams to enlist one foreign guest player in a bid to elevate the overall level of play.

“Accepting this invitation from Cambodia is my way of contributing to help sustain the visibility of Philippine men’s volleyball, especially amid the uncertainties surrounding our local teams,” Retamar said through his management agency VP Global.

“I’m excited to learn from the environment there and contribute in the best way I can.”
