WITH UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball eliminations winding down and the standings tightening up, every win or loss matters more and more.
That is very much true for Adamson, which took down University of Santo Tomas in straight sets yet again, and the former has tied the latter at third with a 7-5 record.

Shai Nitura led the convincing victory with a 19-point, 14-reception, 10-dig triple-double, making sure she and the rest of her young side have a golden opportunity to make it back to the playoffs for the first time since Season 85.

What made the win more meaningful, though, is that Nitura claimed it with her family in attendance, most notably older sister Judiel, who herself just won a historic championship with Letran in the NCAA, ending a 28-year wait for the Lady Knights.
“Very happy ako kasi graduating si ate and yun yung pinaka-goal niya: bago siya makaalis, mag-champion siya. Siyempre nakaka-inspire kasi naglaro siya nang maayos and siya pa yung naging finals MVP,” Shai shared.
Falcons soaring to playoffs?
The breakthrough ate just experienced is one Adamson's sophomore skipper hopes to get a taste for her own.

“Of course, nakaka-inspire. Siyempre, magpu-push pa rin kami. Pinaka-goal pa rin is pumasok ng Final Four at kung ano yung kaya namin iangat,” she said, as they have actually already improved upon their 6-8 standing from her rookie year.
“Nakaka-inspire siya na maglaro ako more para makita sa family namin na it runs [in] the blood."
The Lady Falcons have matches against fellow playoff hopefuls the University of the Philippines and Far Eastern University left in their ledger for the elims.
Win out on those and they will be booking their return trip to the next round - just the school's second since Seasson 76.
