VOLERO Zurich cruised into the semifinals of the FIVB Women's Club World Championship with a 25-19, 25-15, 25-17 win over Hisamitsu Springs Kobe in Pool B on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Olesia Rykhliuk led the way for the Swiss team with 19 points with 15 attacks, while skipper Natalya Mammadova and USA national team stalwart Foluke Akinradewo had 10 markers apiece.
Volero Zurich scored its second win in as many matches, after a straight-sets victory over Bangkok Glass on opening day.
The Swiss club had 11 blocks compared to one for the entire match for Hisamitsu Springs.
