NATIONAL University players broke down in tears as the Lady Bulldogs’ skid continued.
The league leader after the first round with a 6-1 win-loss record, the Lady Bulldogs have yet to score a victory in the second round and have slipped to fourth after a fourth straight loss in UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament.
The scenes looked much like when the Tigresses eliminated the Lady Bulldogs last season. This time though, NU still has a good chance at making the semifinals, standing behind only La Salle, Ateneo and Far Eastern University.
Sobrang sakit lang talaga,” said Nabor.
Na-feel ulit namin yung sakit na na-feel namin last year.”
Nabor shared that although crying inside the locker room, they tried to motivate each other.
Parang may chance pa talaga,” she said.
“So ang kailangan namin gawin, 'yung sakit na nafi-feel namin, 'yun ang gagawin naming motivation para sa mga next game namin,” she added.
After the break, NU will face University of the Philippines on April 4, University of the East on April 8 and Far Eastern University on April 15.
