Aug 5, 2015
Eldridge Capal and the National University Bulldogs remain unscathed after four matches.

NATIONAL University squeaked past Far Eastern University, 25-23, 19-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-13, on Wednesday to stay unbeaten in four matches in the Spikers Turf Collegiate Conference at The Arena in San Juan.

It was a huge boost for the Bulldogs ahead of the highly-anticipated showdown with NCAA champion and fellow unbeaten squad Emilio Aguinaldo College on Monday.

The Tamaraws suffered their third loss in four matches and are in danger of missing the quarterfinals.

Bryan Bagunas hammered in 23 hits, Fauzi Ismail scored 22 and Madzlan Gampong had 19 points for the Bulldogs.

FEU had five players in double digits, with Jeric Gacutan coming up with 15 hits and Jude Garcia adding 13 markers.

Peter Quiel and Joshua Barrica each had 11 points while Paul Bugaoan had 10 for the Tams, who will need to beat the Mapua Cardinals on Monday to stay in the hunt.
