Zhu Ting powers VakifBank Istanbul to victory over Hisamitsu Springs Kobe in world club volley opener

ZHU Ting led the way as VakifBank Istanbul defeated Hisamitsu Springs Kobe, 25-15, 25-15, 29-31, 25-18, on Tuesday in the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Zhu, the star spiker who China to the Rio Games gold and claimed MVP honors, exploded with 28 points from 17 kills, nine blocks and two service aces for VakifBank Istanbul.

Lonneke Sloetjes added 18 markers for VakifBank, while Kimberly Hill chipped in 17, Milena Rasic contributed 13 and Kubra Akman made 11.

Miyu Nagaoka fired 18 points, while Risa Shinnabe added 16 markers for Hisamitsu Springs Kobe.
