Vietnamese squad downs Hong Kong side in four to sweep group play in Asian club volley meet
Minh Do Thi and the Vietnamese team score two wins in two matches.

BINAN — Thongtin Lien Viet Post Bank of Vietnam swept Pool A, beating Kwai Tsing of Hong Kong, 25-14, 23-25, 25-16, 25-18, on Monday in the 2016 AVC Asian Women's Club Championship at Alonte Sports Arena.

Team captain Do Thi Minh made 19 points and Tran Ton Nu Ly Linh added 15 as the Vietnamese squad advanced to the quarterfinals with two wins in as many matches.

Also advancing from Pool A is Foton Pilipinas, which won over Kwai Tsing and bowed to Thongtin Lien Viet Post Bank.

Thongtin Lien Viet Post Bank scored 10 on blocks against only one by the Hong Kong side.

Fung Wing Yan had 13 points for Kwai Tsing, while skipper Cheung Man Lee and Yu Ying Chi added 11 markers apiece.

Hong Kong will play in the classification for 9th to 12th places.
