SISI Rondina said she is thankful for University of Sto. Tomas’ semifinal finish, saying it was a fine ending especially after the dismal start to the season.

The Tigresses made their first semifinal appearance after four years out, but they simply could not overcome the titleholders.

La Salle won in four sets to book a return trip to the UAAP women’s volleyball finals.

"Kulang lang talaga pag-execute namin," she said.

The Tigresses started the season with consecutive losses and at one point were among the cellar dwellers before finding their groove in the second round.

Still, the Tigresses feel they exceeded expectations this year.

"It's a good motivation for us to aim higher."
