COACH Roger Gorayeb was generally reserved after National University eked out a tough four-set victory, saying he would like to believe it was just opening-day jitters.

But he did call out some of the Lady Bulldogs veterans as he warned their current level of play won’t get them far against a tough field in the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball tournament.

"We cant play like this. We have to work hard on it. Sana wag nalang maulit," Gorayeb continued.

"We learned our lesson the hard way, dapat yung character nila magbago na sa susunod."

Though Aiko Urdas and Jorelle Singh still finished with 11 markers apiece, Gorayeb felt that they could have given so much more after their strong showing in a commercial league.

"Still yung question dun yung kanilang character. Sana maiba nila at maging aggressive and fighter sila," he added.
