University of Santo Tomas defeated San Sebastian College, 25-12, 25-13, 25-23, Thursday to make its return to the finals of the Shakey’s V-League Season 9 first conference at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The Tigresses earned another trip to the finals after missing the three previous conferences of the league. They have reached the finals in all 10 of their appearances in the league.
Thai import Utaiwan Kaensing scored 17 points while Judy Caballejo added 14 for the Tigresses, who will face Ateneo in the finals.
Game 1 is on Sunday.
