LA Salle continued to work behind closed doors as the reigning champions go for a repeat against rival Ateneo Lady Eagles in the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball tournament finals.

Lady Spikers coach Ramil de Jesus kept his focus on their title defense and refused to entertain media requests, according to La Salle Office of Sports Development tournament coordinator Joy Lanting.

SPIN.ph also tried to contact de Jesus though his personal mobile number but he cannot be reached.

Lanting also explained that due to the Asean Summit, no business transactions in both private and government offices in Metro Manila were allowed on Thursday, thus permits to allow outsiders inside the Lady Spikers practice could not be processed.

“Sorry but the outsiders will not be allowed since it's a non-working day. The entry permit will not be processed,” said Lanting.

“Also coach Ramil declined all media-related activities. I'm sorry about this,” she added.

Players also did not reply to messages on their mobile phones and social media accounts.

Game One of the best-of-three Finals will be on Tuesday at the Araneta Coliseum.
