RACHEL Anne Daquis is pleased to be added to an elite list of stars that includes Johnny Abarrientos and Arwind Santos as Far Eastern University announced it is retiring her jersey No. 3.

The 28-year old outside hitter played for FEU from ‎2005-2009, leading the Lady Tamaraws to a UAAP women's volleyball championship in 2008.

Daquis will be the first FEU volleyball player whose jersey number will be retired. FEU earlier raised the jersey of Arwind Santos and Johnny Abbarientos to the rafters at its school gym.

The school has yet to inform Daquis of the schedule for the ceremony.

Daquis, who has seen action in various international tournaments including the FIVB Women's Club World Championship, is glad to be given the recognition.

"Hindi ko pa alam kung kailan ang ceremony pero kahit naman wala, basta the fact na ma-retire ang jersey mo napakalaking honor na 'yun," she said.
