POCARI Sweat goes for the kill as the Lady Warriors face BaliPure in the second match of the best-of-three finals series of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.

Looking to bag the first title in the rebranded league and looking to add to two V-League crowns, Pocari Sweat looks to avoid another slow start.

The Lady Warriors had to fight back from a set down to beat the Water Defender in the series opener.

The match starts at 6:30 p.m.

“We just need to focus on our game, on what we can do. Based on the trainings na ginagawa namin is on our side,” said Lady Warriors coach Rommel Abella.

“We can’t control what they’re gonna do, what we can control is what’s on our side,” he added.

American import Krystal Rivers, tapped to replace the injured Edina Selimovic, debuted in the series opener and came up with 20 points including 17 kills.

Pocari hopes the 6-foot-1 opposite spiker would deliver big numbers again, while also expected to chip in are American reinforcement Michelle Strizak, Myla Pablo and Jeanette Panaga.

“We’re gonna be focusing on kung ano ang mga skills na kailangan naming i-work on going into the second game,” said Abella.

“But certainly were going to try to play hard on Tuesday and try to get the win,” he added.
