Petro Gazz fights back from two sets down to beat BanKo Perlas for first win in PVL

PETRO Gazz scored its first win in in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, defeating BanKo Perlas, 15-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-20, 15-9, on Sunday at Batangas City Coliseum.

Ukranian import Anastasiia Trach had 27 points and 16 digs for the Angels, who improved to 1-3, same as the Perlas Spikers, for joint seventh in the eight team tournament.

“Gigil na gigil eh. Gigil tayo sa mga kilos natin so nagi-error, sumusobra sa enthusiasm. Relieved siyempre kasi wala namang coach na nanalo na ‘di na-relieve ‘di ba? Thank God nakakuha kami ng first win,” said Petro Gazz coach Jerry Yee.

Estonian reinforcement Kadi Kullerkann had 16 points and Wensh Tiu added 10 markers for Petro Gazz.

Thai import Jutarat Montripila scored 27 and American hitter Lakia Bright had 23 points for BanKo Perlas.
