No holiday break as third-running Perpetual Help Altas buckle down to business
Coach Sammy Acaylar hopes to whip up the Altas in shape as they try to move up the leaderboard.

THE Perpetual Help Altas will continue to train during the holiday break and will have only two days off as they try to improve and regain the lead in the NCAA volleyball tournament.

"We're only taking a break on Christmas and New Year’s Day because we'll be spending the rest of the days practicing and training," said coach Sammy Acaylar.

The elimination round of the 92nd NCAA volleyball tournament resumes next year at The Arena in San Juan.

The Altas have four wins in five matches, tied for third place with Arellano University.

San Beda leads with a 6-1 win-loss record followed by St. Benilde at 5-1.

Perpetual Help's only defeat came at the hands of San Beda, a heartbreaking five-set decision on Nov. 20.

Perpetual Help takes on San Sebastian on Jan. 11, Lyceum on Jan 13, Jose Rizal University on Jan. 20, and Arellano on Jan. 20.
