Bryan Bagunas shows way anew as NU rips winless UE for lead in UAAP volleyball
Bryan Bagunas and the Bulldogs have one match to play in the eliminations, while Ateneo and Far Eastern University each have two matches left. 

NATIONAL University regained the lead in the UAAP Season 80 men’s volleyball tournament after a 25-16, 25-23, 25-13 win over University of the East on Sunday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Bryan Bagunas had 18 points, while James Martin Natividad had 14 points for the Bulldogs, who scored their 11th win in 13 matches.

UE remained winless in 12 matches.

NU will face Ateneo in its final match of the eliminations on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Far Eastern University beat Adamson, 25-23, 25-21, 21-25, 25-20.

John Paul Bugaon had 22 points, while Jude Garcia had 18 points for the Tamaraws, who are now tied with Ateneo for second place with a 10-2 win-loss slate.

FEU will take on University of Santo Tomas (5-7) and Ateneo (10-2) in its final two matches of the eliminations as the Tamaraws seek a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.
