North Korean squad beats Malaysia to set up battle for ninth place with Jakarta

BINAN — April 25 of North Korea dominated Malaysia, 25-9, 25-14, 25-10, on Wednesday to gain a spot in the battle for ninth place in the 2016 AVC Asian Women's Club Championship at Alonte Sports Arena.

Jong Jin Sim scored 15 points for April 25, which faces Aprilia Manganang-led Jakarta Electrik of Indonesia on Saturday.

Ri Ra Hyang added nine markers for North Korea, which had double of Malaysia's attack points, 38-19, registered more blocks, 9-2, and scored 10 service aces against one by the Malaysian side.

Mei Cing Low scored seven for Malaysia, which faces Kwai Tsing of Hong Kong for 11th place.
