ADAMSON University spiker Chiara Permentilla insisted that she feels no pressure to take charge for the Lady Falcons when they go up against University of the Philippines in the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.

Game time is at 2:00 p.m.

The rookie transferee from La Salle Lipa, who's been drawing attention after her consistent performance in the team’s first two games, said the Lady Falcons thrive because of total team effort.

She delivered 12 points to top-score for Adamson in their season-opener match against National University, 15-25, 23-25, 25-16, 13-25, and contributed 11 markers to help the Lady Falcons win over Far Eastern University, 25-23, 19-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12.

“Wala naman masyadong pressure na mag-perform every game kasi lahat naman kami nagpe-perform eh. May (Mylene) Paat kami, may (Joy) Dacoron kami, may (Fenela) Emnas kami, may (Lea Ann) Perez kami, may (Ely) Soyud kami, lahat,” said Permentilla, who noted that the win over FEU was a big confidence boost to the team.

“Syempre first win for the season and come back form out last game sobrang ganda and parang makakatulong ‘to sa buong team,” she added. “Mas mataas pa ang confidence namin sa upcoming games namin and kasi nga nag-fifth set parang nahahandle namin kung paano kami gagalaw inside the court.”
