MICHELE Gumabao dismissed the early title talk after a solid debut for Creamline in the Premier Volleyball League.

Creamline got off to a strong start with a straight-sets win over newcomer Petro Gazz, and already the Cool Smashers are being billed as title favorites.

Gumabao says there is a lot of work to do, and it would be wrong to look past their rivals.

Eight teams are seeing action in the tournament, with the top two after the first round earning automatic semifinal berths.

Creamline faces BankoPerlas on Saturday in Tuguegarao.

“Syempre mahirap naman ‘yung puro predictions na lang kailangan nasusuklian din namin ng gawa,” said the reigning Miss Globe Philippines.

“So ‘yun lang pagdating sa game pulido na dapat ang galaw kasi sa training naaayos na namin lahat so saka na namin iisipin ang championship kapag dumating na kami championship,” she said.
