THE Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws played inspired ball in overcoming a fiery Adamson side during their second round match in the UAAP women's volleyball Season 78, thanks to the presence of UAAP men’s basketball champion coach Nash Racela.

Racela went to The Arena in San Juan to show support for the Lady Tamaraws, who secured the No. 3 spot in the Final Four of the women’s volleyball tournament on Wednesday with the 25-23, 25-22, 20-25, 28-26 win over the Lady Falcons.

Seated at the lower box section, Racela, who led the Tamaraws to their first league championship in a decade, cheered and clapped for every point won by the Lady Tams.

“Syempre malaking bagay ‘yun (presence ni coach Nash) kasi syempre alam naman namin ang schedule ng mga ‘yan. Busy rin sila, may liga, meron din silang mga (ginagawa) tapos si coach Nash nandyan din. So sobrang  malaking bagay sa amin,” said Lady Tams coach Shaq delos Santos.

Delos Santos and his wards no doubt drew inspiration from Racela.

“Inspired kami kasi imagine hindi naman basta i-expect na makakarating sila ng ganoon lang kadali. And syempre with the help of management, [it shows na] sinusuportahan rin kami,” he said.
