LA Salle booked a return trip to the finals of the Philippines National Games, overpowering University of the Philippines, 25-20, 25-16, 25-19, on Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

College of St. Benilde took the other finals berth after whipping Jose Rizal University, 25-16, 25-20, 25-20.

The championship match is set on Thursday at the same venue.

Eli Soyud helped power La Salle’s offense in the second and third sets, with Mika Reyes putting an exclamation point to the straight-sets win with a quick kill.

The Taft-based squad downed the Lady Cardinals of Mapua to reach the semifinals.

La Salle lost in five sets in the title match last year against the Philippine Air Force, which did not field a team this year.
