LA Salle vented its ire on hapless University of the East, 25-18, 25-17, 25-20, in the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.

Skipper Majoy Baron and Desiree Cheng each had 13 points, while Aduke Ogunsanya added 12 as the Lady Spikers bounced back from a five-set loss to National University.

“You know right after we lost to NU, we went straight back to our gym to fix our mistakes,” said Kim Dy.

“Pag sinabi na ni coach ’yun na walang magbibihis, diretso tayo La Salle, alam na namin,” added the graduating opposite spiker.

“We know that we deserved what happened, ‘yung right after ng game, training. Wala eh, natalo kami so kailangan ayusin yung mga kulang pa namin,” she added.

It worked, and La Salle needed under an hour to score its fourth win in five outings.

The Lady Spikers remain in second spot behind NU (4-0).

Mary Ann Mendrez and Shaya Adorador combined for 23 points for UE, which remained winless in five outings and 12 since Season 79.
