LA Salle tries to bounce back from a disappointing loss at the end of the first round as it battles Far Eastern University at the start of the second round of the UAAP women’s volleyball on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.

Ateneo claimed the top spot with a five-set win over La Salle in a battle of unbeaten teams on the final day of the first round.

That sent the Lady Spikers to solo second with a 6-1 win-loss record, and now they try to get back on the winning track as they battle the Lady Tamaraws, who ended the first round in a three-way tie with Adamson and UP for fourth.

The match is set at 4 p.m.

Ara Galang said they are eager to bounce back and the Lady Spikers used the 10-day break to work on their game.

“Work pa rin this break basta hindi kami titigil mag-push hard pa kami,” she said.

The Lady Tamaraws are also looking to recover from a loss to the struggling Tigresses.

Meanwhile, winless University of the East hopes to finally make it to the win column as the Lady Warriors battle a Kathy Bersola-less UP Lady Maroons side at 2p.m.

The Lady Maroons look to extend their win run to three. Bersola, the reigning UAAP best blocker, is out for the season with an ACL injury.
