LA Salle geared up for its showdown with unbeaten Ateneo with an easy 25-13, 25-15, 25-17 victory over Adamson on Sunday in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

It was the 12th victory in 13 matches for the Taft-based Lady Spikers, who will now try to prevent league-leading Ateneo from completing an elimination-round sweep and taking an outright spot in the finals.

The Lady Spikers extended their winning run to six and La Salle coach Ramil de Jesus admitted that while they faced Adamson, they were looking ahead to the match against Ateneo on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Myleen Paat scored 11 for Adamson, which dropped to 5-7 for a share of the fourth spot with University of the Philippines.

National University is alone in third spot with a 6-6 card.
