FEU repeats over Ateneo, spoils Marck Espejo’s 39-point outing

FAR Eastern University scored a repeat win over Ateneo, 25-27, 25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 16-14, in the UAAP men's volleyball tournament eliminations on Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Tamaraws scored their seventh win in nine matches and stopped the Blue Eagles’ win streak at eight.

Ateneo is in second at 8-2 behind National University, which has an 8-1 record.

Jude Garcia and Redijohn Paler each scored 17 points for the Tamaraws.

Marck Espejo scored 39 points for the Blue Eagles, who tied the match at 14 before Raymond Bautista and Paler sealed the victory for the Tamaraws.

Meanwhile, Adamson defeated University of the Philippines, 29-27, 28-26, 25-10.

Adamson improved to a 4-6 card, while the Maroons absorbed their sixth loss in nine outings.
