ATENEO team manager Tony Boy Liao is still hoping to convince Lady Eagles skipper Jia Morado to stay and play her final year.

Liao confirmed Morado announced her decision to end her college career after a mass for the team at the Ateneo campus, following the loss to La Salle in the UAAP Season 79 title series.

Liao said team officials will allow the Lady Eagles to rest before discussing matters related to next season.

“For now, we will have a two-month rest for the team. Definitely, we will talk to her,” said Liao.

In what could be her final match as a Lady Eagle, Morado had 53 of Ateneo’s 55 excellent sets, while scoring six points in Game Two.
